Lauren Hackett
Lauren Hackett joined Evans, Garvey, Lackey & Ochs in 2025. Prior to joining the firm, Lauren worked at a Harrisburg-based public interest law firm where she gained experience in constitutional law and religious liberty, particularly in the areas of parental rights, freedom of speech, and freedom of conscience in public schools. She also advised businesses, nonprofits, churches and legislators on issues of religious liberty, life, marriage and family.
Lauren began her career in public service where she served in the Mercer County Court of Common Pleas as a judicial law clerk, then as a lead trial attorney prosecuting and defending adult and juvenile offenders accused of violent crimes as both a county prosecutor and public defender. For numerous years, she served of the Board of Directors of Community Counseling Center, as well as a grassroots faith-based ministry devoted to substance abuse addiction recovery for recently incarcerated inmates transitioning back into society.
Lauren earned her J.D. from Delaware Law School, where she was selected for the executive editorial board of the Law Review to supervise the editorial process of two publications, including a special International Edition featuring foreign diplomats, members of parliament, ambassadors, and distinguished professors of international relations from across the world. Lauren also served in the Moot Court Honor Society, and her student Note on a First Amendment topic was chosen for publication. Lauren earned her B.A. degree from Gettysburg College, with a double major in Political Science and English Literature.
